For Agnes, body movement is built on technique and attitude. She’ll give you the tools to understand and develop both, breaking down the coordination of your feet, hips, torso, shoulders, and arms. These fundamentals form the foundation you’ll carry with you into all your dancing. In the second part of the bootcamp, you will focus on learning feminine shines to bring your personal juice and expression to your solo dancing. Whether you dance Cuban casino, salsa on1/LA style, or mambo/on2, you’ll find the same fundamental principles of body movement across all salsa styles. The shines will be taught to mambo timing, but we encourage salseras of all styles to give them a try! And of course, all genders are welcome to join and work on their body movement and personal style. Techniques and movements are valuable for everyone who wants to explore their dancing!
About Agnes :
Agnes is a technically strong dancer in both Mambo and Casino (Cuban Salsa), based in Oslo. Her passion is understanding what moves us emotionally in dance. Agnes is currently a showteam member of Allure by Alexis Ruiz and Iselin Jansen Ruiz. She brings her technique and body control to the stage as well as in her pedagogy at Acustica Dance Academy. The last years she has been travelling internationally learning from different teachers, and training hard with her Cuban dance partner Yordano Bulgar. Her background in ballet, jazz and modern dance shows strongly in her expression, and she loves bringing the different styles together in teaching and choreographing.
